The word Islam which is believed to be derived from the word "salaam" meaning peace but currently it seems that is derived from terror just opp. of what said earlier.And a new word has been created i.e Islamic terrorism while forgetting the true meaning of Islam.This has happened to such an extent that after seeing a beard person first thing which comes in mind is something like extremism or terror.This certainly has created a black spot on Muslim community and now this phenomenon not confined to any boundaries but can be seen globally truly justified by the statements of German chancellor , UK PM,France president saying repeatedly about the failure of multiculturalism .
Now coming to the main point ,that mostly radical groups of Muslims responsible for damaging the image of Muslims has their motivation from jihad kind of feeling mostly because of actions of USA i.e unconditional support to Israel,invasion of Iraq.Afghanistan etc.So the core of the phenomenon lies in the word "JIHAD" which according to Islam means Struggle for Peace and Harmony ,now has been transformed into the Struggle for unfair treatment to Muslims and mainly pointed to US and some European countries.
So in my view due to this misinterpretation of the word the whole Muslim community is facing the consequences for it.Recent examples of a Muslims persons arrested in mecca blast mostly working on reputed positions now acquitted are selling fruits with a tag of terrorism.Although CM apologized but that cant compensate their loss and it also tells reality of secularism of which India beat the drums globally. Mr. Obama when goes to china talks about Universal Human Rights of Chinese but first he himself has to see his collar about what he has done to muslims after 9/11 , humiliation , unwarranted arrests,sub-human status showing dogmatic behavior .
Also there must be a setback for those who only sees terrorism only related to Islam with the introduction of the word Saffron Terrorism.But the contrast is that RSS is trying its best to protect those prosecuted but nobody came when 20 innocent muslims arrested in the same bomb blast done by Hindutva group.Recent example of Norway bomber ,until it is not known the he is a white person fingers are pointed at Muslims and various country head repeated their commitments of fighting Islamic terrorism but after knowing reality it is interesting to see now that to whom against they will fight now bcoz it is result of their acts as the bomber was a Muslim hating white person and that rage of Islamophobia has been created by their corresponding govts.So the phrase now needs eradication"All Muslims are not terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims".
Now the solution to the problem is not in the disenfranchisement of Muslims as said by a eminent Harvard scholar and Janta party president Mr. Swamy but in the implementation of Universal Human Rights and raising voices globally is any injustice done to any Muslim.For the Short term countries should ensure that incidents likes of Iraq and Afghanistan should not happen( may not be pragmatic but also not impossible),bcoz in those clashes those who suffers the most are innocent Muslims.The persons killed by Al-Qaeda attacks is many times less than that of killed in attempt to kill Laden in Iraq and Afghanistan.And for the long term we should not go against these groups brutally but making them realize nothing unfair is done to Muslims by properly implementing Right to Equality universally .So there is a great need to make a chasm between between Islam and terrorism as these words are nowhere related to each other.Even after that some bad elements or groups will remain but they can rooted after the World knows the reality that terror has no face and has nothing to do with any religion or community.
